Are you an educator or school administrator? Please call to ask us about our educational STEM & STE(A)M focused learning day-programs! We will come to your school, and offer a 1/2 or full-day educational program catered to your existing science curriculum.
These programs are an amazing way to get kids involved in the natural world and inspire STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) focused learning with REAL butterflies, insects, and bugs from all over the world. We will bring our collection of over 1,000 world-wide insects & butterflies, and lead students through interactive activities to explore the cases of insects while covering topics like biology, ecology, chemistry, physics, and the environmental sciences. We can also incorporate a hands-on activity working with a REAL butterfly or moth, that each student can take home to begin their own insect collection!

Offer students the hands-on experience of working with a REAL butterfly or insect!
We will bring the insects prepared and ready to work with, the students will then learn how to carefully handle a dried butterfly or moth, and prepare the wings for study and collection. Each student will then leave the program at the end of the day with their insect in a protective display box, which can be the start of a wonderful insect collection!
Working with dried insects or beetles is very easy, and hasn't changed much since Victorian times! With the skills students learn during the hands-on insect activity, they will be prepared and equipped with the knowledge to work with any insect or butterfly found in their backyard.
There is simply no substitute for putting kids in front of the "real thing" when it comes to learning about the natural world.
Our Program is focused around real world-wide collections of butterflies, moths, and insects. We can also bring some of our living insects for guided interactions with students, an experience they're sure to never forget!

PRICING
Our pricing structure is flexible and can be tailored to your institution's needs
1/2 & full-day programs range typically range from $7-10 per student, depending on if hands-on activities like individual butterfly preparation, or our "live insect" exhibit is included in the presentation
